| Posted: 08 Aug 2020 12:14 PM PDT Just finished my placement matches for the Throne tournament earlier today. Ended up at 13-15 playing this Argenport midrange deck from BHV (thanks BHV, the deck works great). This was my first tournament experience in Eternal. Rakano Surge represented 3/4 of my total opponents, no joke. So the nerfs are welcome, though I do worry that they don't go far enough (specifically the Ironthorn Lawman nerf) to keep the deck from being oppressive. I guess we'll find out on Monday, and I'd be thrilled to be wrong. Conversely, I'm worried that the nerf to Silverblade Intrusion will harm other decks that use it (like the one I was playing... T_T) I also saw some things I didn't know people still played. One deck was a full 150-card, five-faction Strangers list, another big deck that abused echo with that one relic that gives units you draw a random ability whose name I can't recall at the moment, and I saw Xenan Reanimation twice. Good show, you guys. Random thought: does the matchmaker in tournament pools try to match people up with similar w/l totals, or does it just grab the first two people it can find and stick them together? So yeah. | Best way to build a collection for free? Posted: 08 Aug 2020 02:04 AM PDT Hey all, returning player who used to play casually. At the time I was following a set of guidelines of the best way to complete your collection if you're typing to play for free by breaking down the best EV lines. I've looked and looked and can't seem to find it. It was something along the lines of: If you have no gold play XXXX game mode Once you have YYY gold play ZZZZ game mode Once you have AAA gold play BBBB game mode Etc Etc Does anyone have a guide like that to share? I achieved much more with my little deck than I originally anticipated, being a newbie and all. I just finished my 10 games for the first week and scored, to my surprise, below rank 500. Now there is the option to play 20 further games to "improve my ranking". My question is whether you can also worsen your ranking with those games? I'm at about 392 at this point and really like the rewards at this stage. I wouldn't want to loose the ranking while trying to improve it. Thus the question. Also: quite the niche game, but so much fun! I played Hearthstone before and what I really enjoy about ECG is the lack of RNG. It's all quite tactial, but at the same time fairly predictable. | Posted: 08 Aug 2020 06:57 AM PDT There were a couple changes to some cards and some buffs to many others. One of those changes was to a little friend of mine Nahid's Faithful. He was given a bigger back end and that is honesty really interesting to me. He is one of those cards that no one talks about but you end up really loving? I have a thing for Two-face as well and typically auto include it to most Shadow decks I run but this Nahid's Faithful has gotten me pretty excited. I have some ideas that I am going to be testing out next few days and getting things ironed out and while I do offer some help with constructed and hitting goals you wish to hit at patreon.com/EternallyAsmo I wanted to reach out to some of you and see what you all think of the changes? One of the biggest questions I have is, do you think this nerf to FiLP is going to be enough to break the one deck curse Expedition has right now? [link] [comments] |
