Tournament Prizes: $75 to the Winning Team, $30 to the 2nd place Team.

    Charity:

As with the previous charity tournaments, our beneficiary organization is Child's Play. They aim to provide hospitals and domestic shelters with toys and games for children, as well as infrastructure such as WiFi to support these devices.

    Format:

This event will be played with the Peasant and Team Unified formats. In the Peasant format, only commons and uncommons are allowed. Also, the following cards are banned:

    -All campaign/mini-set cards.

    -Any card with Invoke.

    -Unstable Form.

    -Fluctuate Reality

    -Open Your Eyes

-A Good Idea at the Time

    -Air Support

*Cards that add random cards to the market, such as Watchwing Support, WILL be allowed. However, if you take a rare/promo/legendary card out of your market, you will automatically be issued a game loss. Any random commons/uncommons generated are fair game.

For the Team Unified format, only 4 copies of any non-power card can be played across all 3 decks. Copies may be divided amongst your 3 decks any way you choose. For instance, you could have 2 Fire decks, each with 2 copies of Torch.

This all sound like a lot? Unsure where to start? Or maybe you just don't have a lot of time to test before the tournament. Don't worry. Some community stalwarts have put together a Peasant primer, packed full with tips and decklists that will be released on December 8th. Don't miss it!
(The link will be posted here once it has been released.)

    Lucky Draw and Community-contributed prizes:

Want to support this event besides donating to Child's Play? This year, we're organizing a charity lucky draw where community members can contribute prizes to be won. Any person who donates to Child's Play using the Tiltify link will be entered to win these prizes.

Example of prizes you could contribute:

-Gift subs to your own Twitch channel.

    -Patreon benefits for a month.

    -Hangout/coaching sessions.

-Whatever other great ideas you can come up with!

If you would like to contribute a prize, please reach out to AlexandrosGray, who will be collating all the prizes.

On the day of the event, a command will be set-up so that everyone can view the prizes during the stream. All prize winners will be announced after the stream ends in Discord.

    Additional Resources:

The tournament will be held out of the Dire Wolf Digital (DWD) Official Gaming Discord. Be sure to join the Discord ahead of time, as all announcements and logistics will be run out of there.

A deck for every situation (Expedition)

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 08:50 PM PST

I put this together while experimenting with the new Yeti hero (which is awesome, btw). It's been a lot of fun to play, and I'd say it wins more than it loses so long as you play smart and recognize what your opponent's strategy is. Give it a try if you want a break from the current meta decks.

    Inscribe needs a better UI

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 10:41 PM PST

Maybe it's just me, but it feels like it is easy to misplay cards with Inscribe when there is only option available and you think you have a choice between the two. IMO, it should always show the selection prompt before playing so you can see which option(s) are (un)available. Or maybe just when you hover over the card before playing it so it's visually clear before you commit to playing it.

    Evacuation Plan Bug?

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 10:59 AM PST

In Gauntlet, I played Evacuation Plan to bring all my ridiculously buffed units back into my hand with the idea of having one massive creature attack with overwhelm to finish toying with the AI. However, when all was resolved, the token it created didn't have Overwhelm or hardly any of the battle skills the other units had.

Mind you all the creatures were buffed with weapons created from exalted, but as the replay shows, many of the creatures had their own battle skills which didn't transfer at all. For example, they all had killer from the unstealthed The Last Carnosaur and shouldn't it also have had stealth from the Carnosaur? It should have had Overwhelm from the Sewer Kudzu which has that skill natively.

HERE is the video of the replay.

    Skycrag Heroes (Expedition)

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 04:34 AM PST

I thought I'd build something other than Elysian for a heroes deck and was pleasantly surprised with this. After a couple iterations, I went on a 15-game win streak and am 18-2 over my last 20. This deck is pure card advantage. It draws like crazy and has some great synergy.
