    6/26 Update

    • Fixed an issue where Moment of Triumph could incorrectly exhaust units with Endurance.
    • Fixed an issue where Surge could fail to trigger in certain cases.
    • Improved Cloudsnake Mount's VFX.
    • Fixed an issue where Wandering Beholder would incorrectly gain +3/+3 as part of its final Influence unlock.
    • Fixed an issue where the Amplify prompt on Siege Train would sometimes show incorrect or missing counts.
    • Powerstone Compass should no longer incorrectly trigger via non-spell damage from Relics.
    • Fixed an issue where Monk Innervator would sometimes not trigger correctly when Rustlings were created by Corrosive Dagger.
    • Copy effects should no longer make stats granted by Imbue permanent on the copied unit.
    • Fixed an issue where Unbreakable Tradition's prompt would not display correctly.
    • Fixed an issue where Two-Face's Shade incorrectly cost 2 to use its sacrifice ability.
    • Fixed an issue where Curtain Call's Time Influence requirement was not functioning properly. It should now function correctly at 4 Time Influence.
    • Fixed an issue where the game could hang if two copies of Blurhaze Wurm were triggered by Lord Ragnar.
    • Improved hinting for several new Argent Depths cards.
    • Jotun Bonebreaker should no longer continue to count discarded cards in its dynamic text after its ultimate ability has been used.
    • Fixed an issue where the Etchings cycle of cards would allow a unit to be exhausted even if a card could not be removed from the Market.

    [Throne] So I noticed we got some new Gunslingers in Argent Depths

    While working on the list for this post, I was going through the Rakano cards we got in Depths, and I noticed a lot of new Gunslingers, and that they like Surge. So I went looking through our Throne Gunslingers, and realized that Bulletshaper is an amazing Surge enabler. Hence, this list was born.

    This is just a theorycraft for now; haven't tested it yet. With Blightmoth being so popular right now, I have no expectations of this deck being competitive, but I really think that there are a lot of fun, strong synergies here that could make it a tier two deck.

    Big Combrei (Top 100 Masters)

    Expedition is once again new and Big Beaters are in! (For the time being, at least). This is a brew that may or may not last, making use of the surprisingly good variety of all the Time beatsticks that exists. Stuff like Sandstorm Titan plays well into all the 5/5s that a bunch of decks are playing, and Desert Alchemist and Scorpion Wasp are some decent removal options. From Anguish feels necessary with all the mono-shadow decks running around.

    Svetya, Lightbringer in conjunction with Grodov's Burden absolutely carries the late game, making your deck full of suddenly massive units that get pulled out fast AND that all have exalted. Once you have a decent board, it's never going away.

    The biggest problem this deck faces is the opponent going around, either with flyers or with burn to get in the last points of damage. The first can be dealt with by Sandstorm Titan and Scorpion Wasps reasonably well, but burn is a lot harder to deal with in this deck. Not having a Sword of Unity to pull out and consolidate a lead really, really hurts.

    Either way, this deck is very fun to play, especially if you like playing a bunch of Big Units That Go SMAK.

    Bubble Shield Bug PSA

    Just lost a game when I wasn't given a response window to cast bubble shield to block kill spells even though I had the power and influence to, twice. I already had a face aegis and the 2 primal for the secondary effect, so I think that may have been the cause? I could still cast it on my turn but it was soft/white highlighted. So currently you can't seem to quick cast it if it's trying to give you aegis but you already have one.

    How long does Gold to Silver demotion protection work on Throne?

    A couple of days back I managed to go from Silver to Gold, but then I lost a game and was sent back to Silver. Got back into gold again, was doing well in gold but had a streak of bad luck yesterday and lost a lot of games back to back. But my rank never went below Gold 3 0/100 .

    Am I forever protected (until the next rank reset) from going back to Silver? That would be nice lol I can play my more janky decks.

    Bubble Shield Bug?

    I just started brewing with Hooru and somebody played mob rule on my Brynn and I didnt get a response window for bubble shield. That doesnt make any sense.

    Just want to get a discussion going. Any standout cards? Any strong decks your seen pop up with the new stuff?

    Personally I'm really enjoying the new power cards, particularly the double influence and cylixes, because they give a ton more consistency in gauntlet. The new shadow card that gives 12 damage for 3 with enough influence seems like an incredible finisher for mono shadow, I think it'll take mono shadow to a new level. Been trying to make a Murky Tentaclesis+Haunting scream deck work as well. Tentaclesis is very good for scream but the support cards and the amount of revenge/destiny in the deck def needs tweaking. Also interested in the new svetya and makto cards but haven't had the chance to try them out yet

    Can’t load Eternal on Mac

    Not sure if reported already or not a general issue, but just flagging that today my Eternal is freezing on the load screen that shows unfamiliar interloper, progress stuck at 100%. Have to force quit out.

    General aggro tips?

    Hello! I'm a relatively new player here. I've played CCGs before but it is my first time playing a MTG-style card game.

    Since a new set has dropped, I want to experiment more on deckbuilding. Any tips on building aggro decks? What should be the mindset/attitude and other things to keep in mind when building and piloting an aggro deck?

    Homecoming campaign help needed

    This is embarrassing but I need help for the second part of the Homecoming campaign with this marvel of a deck. I've had to retry multiple times each time to slog through three of the missions and it's time to ask for help.

    This is the first campaign where I felt the deck is truly miserable to play with. Almost every creature is under-statted, it's three faction for no reason and the spells are bad to terrible. If the opponent drops a 3/3 at turn 3, it's usually game over as they actually have removal and better creatures after that.

    Decay Interaction

    I came across an unexpected interaction with decay today in draft. The opponent played hunting allosaur to give a 6/6 champion of wisdom decay and killer, then used it to attack my 6/6 brightmace paladin that had lifesteal. Both went to the void, but I didn't gain any life. I expected to gain life because I assume paladin has 6 attack when it's doing the 6 damage, and therefore has lifesteal when it's doing damage, but I guess the stat reduction happens before it checks for lifesteal? Now I wonder how it would interact with a mightweaver on board.

    This doesn't seem intuitive, but I'm hesitant to file a bug report for it.

    I made Gauntlet from bronze to master without lose with this deck. Ultimate Diana is no problem and it is always lethal.

    Core of the deck is combrei stranger ramp. Then i add some new obvious strong plunder and surge cards and new time ambush giant, who can draw cards.

    Expedition card changes?

    I was a bit surprised today when I ran into a Sandstorm Titan. Thought I had queued up for the wrong format. :)
