Can sudden death finally be fixed please? Losing on turn 1 is unfun and poorly designed.

As a mostly gauntlet player (so I can play forge and draft) it's really putting me off playing when a boss can be a flip of a coin, rather than involve any skill or counter play.

Infernus putting you down 10-20 health and then slapping a ticking grenadin down is literally unplayable against. Especially when it follows up with a rampage or two.

Even just a short google tells you players absolutely hate this boss and think it's bs. Some even mentioning thinking of quitting over it.

Is it not time to change it up a bit DWD? Why is there a deck in gauntlet that's basically t0 level of bs but never seen a nerf?

My thoughts would be to just remove Infernus and/or ticking grenadin.

And if you still want to make it difficult then add in a siege train/yushkov/refracted sentinel/criva/or even the new flamebot.

At least you have a chance to respond to big threats by turn 3-4. It can still be made a hard boss without being a 50/50 chance of being an instant death sentence.

Meta Snapshot before the Awakening campaign

    Posted: 01 Sep 2020 11:03 PM PDT

Meta Snapshot before the Awakening campaign

Breakdown of the Meta since the last Meta snapshot. Shaded regions in the main graph indicate 5% of the meta, any particular deck archetype encompassing more than 5% of the meta is labeled, factions are shown if they make up more than 2.5% of the meta. Decks making up more than 5% of the metagame were plotted on the Reactivity and Otherzoniness metrics

Welcome to another meta snapshot, showing what we were dealing with since the ECQ. A total of 127 Expedition and 84 Throne games were submitted via this form and I hope to get some more submissions in the future. Thanks to those who contributed:

    LowKeyTrickster
    Brantar
    and herston

In Throne Stonescar aggro remains the dominant deck, followed by Skycrag aggro and Rats. Xenan is the second most popular faction pairing, with most decks playing reanimator, but also some midrange variants around. Feln midrange was the most controlling popular deck but dropped from it's spot as the second most popular. This is followed by Rakano and Mono Fire aggro. Looking at the Otherzoniness vs. Reactivity metrics, most popular decks are in the lower-left corner trying to out aggro each other, with 3 exceptions: Xenan Reanimator is otherzony and proactive (which is where combo decks usually end up as), Rats is not as all out aggressive as the others and Feln mid is bordering control territory.

In Expedition Mono fire has been replaced at the top. Skycrag is the most popular faction pairing with both straight up aggro builds and Edge of Uprising style go wide decks being popular. One could argue that Mono Fire aggro is more popular than either of those, but the Skycrag Edge decks are close to the third most popular deck, the FTP Mother decks, which Zack Hills #2 finish in the ECQ brought to popularity. Xenan is next, but as in Throne it is split between decks, in this case, Xenan mid and Xenan Strangers. FTP Shrine despite being the winning deck at the ECQ piloted by Applechips did not turn out as popular as those. We have mono Shadow still commanding a sizable portion of the meta, followed by Feln, which is mostly midrange. Finally TJP control, usually running Worldpyre completes the list of decks that made up more than 5% of the meta. It also gives us a deck that reaches above midpoint for both reactivity and otherzoniness with Expedition spread out far more evenly than Throne.

Which campaigns should I get first?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2020 08:43 AM PDT

Many of the more veteran players have told me that it's a good idea to get the campaigns because there's a number of useful staple cards in them which you cant craft with shiftstone... Which campaigns should I look at buying and completing first in order to get those cards.

    Upgrade of a campaign

    Posted: 02 Sep 2020 04:37 AM PDT

I bought a campaign for gems. Now I want to upgrade the campaign to get the premium cards. Do I have to play all the "campaign games" again or do I get the premium cards instantly?

    New achievement bug (ascending heroes)?

    Posted: 01 Sep 2020 02:36 PM PDT

One of the achievements from the new campaign is to have two different Ascending heroes with all of their abilities unlocked. I assume that means I have to have two on the board with 8+ influence in each of their factions. I've done that a couple times now, and it hasn't triggered. I even got up to three Ascending heroes at twelve influence each, and still nothing.

I realize there probably aren't that many of us degenerate achievement chasers on day one, but has anyone else run into this?

    Treasure Trove should be Fast

    Posted: 01 Sep 2020 07:38 PM PDT

Testing Clodagh Ascending. If Troves were fast it would add a Rally like dynamic, plus potential to draw into battle fast spell.

Enjoying her in a Warcry deck but the card is slow.
