    This is a two-fold idea, but both halves have to do with the Expedition format. I think this is where Eternal is really lacking. The format is solved within a month of an expansion drop, and the mini-sets rarely change the way decks stack up against each other in any impactful way; in fact, they usually end up strengthening the top decks. Additionally, the Expedition Draft Pack routinely changes its contents when a major expansion releases, and halfway between releases, which increases the barrier for entry for newer players with smaller collections.

    You can vary the format by changing the mini-sets/campaigns included. Currently, the format includes the latest major expansion, the Eternal Draft Pack, and the latest two campaigns/mini-sets, but this wasn't always the case. Early expedition formats featured earlier campaigns/mini-sets. This encouraged players to buy into those smaller sets (which in turn also reduced the barrier to entry for Throne somewhat), but it also made the format more varied. The Expedition format should have two campaigns/mini-sets: the newest one, and one historic one. This would keep certain annoyances from wearing out their welcome and ensure that Expedition formats between major expansion releases are varied.

    As for the routine changes to the Eternal Draft Pack and the barrier it puts on newer Expedition players, this is an absurdly simple and elegant solution: change the name to Eternal Core Pack and offer packs for daily wins, randomly in gold chests, or for gold/gem purchase in the store.

    The Single thing that can save eternal

    Sick of repetitive meta? Boring gameplay? Non-interactive combos? Needing all the latest and greatest to have a competitive deck? Miss playing with some old pet favorites? What if there was a format that could address all these. What if there was a new format that was accessible to new players and fun for all?? What we need is a singleton throne format (cool name TBD)! The rules are simple: Your deck can only have 1 of any card except for sigils. And that's it!

    Commander is the most popular format in Magic for a reason. DWD does not need to try and replicate it though, a lot of the fun comes from it being a singleton format with access to the large card pool. Games are always fresh and exciting because you rarely see the same cards. I think at this point there is enough market access that even mono-factions will have viable access.

    I know it's doubtful that DWD will introduce a new format, but if they were I think this is the right choice. It's a throne format, but the power level would be lower. It will be more accessible to new players who may not have access to all the newest most powerful cards. There have been some events organized by players in the past (although they had more rules than just singleton). What do you think, should DWD create this? What should it be called?

    "A break"

    I've already did a post recently explaining how I was losing interest in this game, but what made me finally decided to take a break is that one day I forgot to do my "first win of the day" and didn't care. I have 100k coins and 720k stones so it not like I really even need to do FW. I know people don't like/care for post like these, but wanted to share.

    I'll still be posting content each week, but will probably slow down eventually. I'll probably comeback when the next set comes out. Hoping for a full pledge commander mode to come out.

    Also was I was able to save all the kittens living my garage. They were four boys and two girls. I am going to miss them.

    Anyways have a good one.
