Eternal Card Game 3rd Annual Eternal Community Survey

Eternal Card Game 3rd Annual Eternal Community Survey

    3rd Annual Eternal Community Survey

    Posted: 19 Oct 2021 09:08 AM PDT

We're following up last year's survey with another Eternal Community Survey.

    This year's survey:

    https://forms.gle/5S55f7YYP5v2Nimi7

There are 11 short sections and it will take approx. 5-10 minutes to complete. We would appreciate honest and thoughtful replies. The more people who take the survey the more meaningful the data. The survey is completely anonymous.

A lot of the questions remain the same from last year so we can compare responses. We've also tweaked a few questions based on feedback and added a few new ones. Here is last year's breakdown.

Please share with as many Eternal players as possible. Link on Discord, Tweet, mention it on your stream, or YouTube video. We will keep the survey open as long as we're receiving steady replies.

We don't have an online degree in Survey Language. (We did the best we could.) We tried to keep our biases out. Our goal was to get a feel for the "current state of the game" with a side focus on content creation. (As we are content creators.) Our intention is to share the data with the community on our show. We're also happy to share the raw data with anyone who would like to dig deeper.

Thank you to Stevercakes for linking to us from Eternal Warcry.

Seems like Rejection is broken during some interactions

    Posted: 19 Oct 2021 06:42 AM PDT

I have already reported these instances but wanted to write about it in case they don't see them.

I was playing a game where I cast Shen-Ra Speaks, my opponent cast Declare Victory to counter it, I cast Transpose in response grabbing Rejection, and countered the Declare Victory. After all the animations resolved, my Shen-Ra Speaks was still countered and all copies of Declare Victory went into the void.

Just today I cast Rejection on my opponents Calibrate. It countered the one, and nothing happened. A few turns later they cast Calibrate two more times.

    Card text

Negate an enemy spell. The enemy player discards all copies from their hand and deck.
    Rejection can't be negated.

Flash Fry vs Searing Strike? (Expedition)

    Posted: 19 Oct 2021 04:12 AM PDT

Thoughts on which card is more useful in a Praxis Expedition deck? Flash Fry has the advantage of being fast, but the silence on Searing Strike seems to give it more options to use beyond just cheap unit removal (and it's basically free to play if you kill the unit). Thinking of where I tend to rely on Flash Fry, it's usually to get rid of Vinegrafter and Searing Strike would work just as well there. However, Evolving Olzial is another card I see played a lot where Flash Fry can clear the unit but Searing Strike would only manage to silence it.

    Tormented Crown Bug?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2021 07:12 AM PDT

I made an updated on my old nightfall deck, and Tormented Crown would feet perfectly, because the night deals damage every turn, but when I played, that's damage didn't thrigger it.

    Ok then...

On the second test, I've played with Dichro's ruin on the deck, it will deal 1 more damage by night (as they draw an extra card on night), but still doesn't thrigger Tormented Crown.

For me, that's a bug... Not sure.

Brand new player, purchased $10 gem pack per recommendation - what to spend it on?

    Posted: 18 Oct 2021 07:58 PM PDT

1100 gems, was planning on getting a campaign to get started. Was eyeing the Budget Mono J hero deck to start the grind.

Best way to spend the gems? Are there a few campaigns that stand above others?

Otherwise I'm going to speedrun Avatar collection out of spite
