New player here, looking for crafting advice. What are some staple cards for each color? Posted: 10 Mar 2020 07:46 AM PDT Direwolf fan here, coming over from TESL. Just wanted to ask for opinions on cards that you often auto include when playing that color. I want to craft cards that I can play in a variety of decks, so im probably not looking at crafting multicolored cards right now. I crafted valkyrie enforcers and harsh rules so far. Sandstorm titan is on my radar. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Mar 2020 10:12 AM PDT We survived the live stream! https://themisplay.com/episode/recap-remix/ This week we recap the highlights, lowlights, and misplays of the past couple of weeks. We share stories from the one year anniversary stream and Mark's Top 32 run in the latest ECQ. We settle the bet and play a few rounds of Would You Rather that catch Jason off guard. With Expedition now, can you play competitive Eternal without a significant monetary investment? Jason argues his cost to play has gone up considerably. And Jason's comments on Elysian Flyers is not going to age well after this QCP: Spring Challenge. He's back! u/Jedi_EJ has another misplay to share. We want your misplays! Record them and send them in to the show. In act two, The Misplay grabs their tuning forks and takes FTS Sacrifice in Expedition for a tune up. Check out the Eternal Warcry links to the starting deck and tuned version from the show below: Starting Decklist: Tuned: For more information: [link] [comments]
[Throne] Budget Combrei Aggro list that I'm rather proud of Posted: 10 Mar 2020 05:15 AM PDT I'm a long-time player who wanted to get some friends into Eternal, so I made some SUPER budget lists with almost all commons/uncommons. One of my friends played a LOT and got to Gold with the Combrei list I made, so I wanted to share this here for anyone who might be looking for some cheap competitive lists to try out. This list also has a LOT of up gradable slots that you can fill with rares/legendaries as you acquire them. Hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave comments. [Edit: the other budget lists are on my EWC profile. The Stonescar one is pretty good, but I wouldn't trust the Rakano list.] [link] [comments]

MTG player looking for some beginners advice in Eternal. Posted: 10 Mar 2020 03:08 AM PDT I'm a long time Magic the Gathering player (paper and Arena) and heard about this game from an MTG podcast (LSV on Limited Resources). I've been looking for a different card game to get in to as I wanted to take a break from Arena until the new set drops an Eternal looks like a good fit (deeper than Hearthstone but not as in depth as MTG). So a couple of questions. How popular is this game, is there a decent sized community? From what I've read Eternal seems reasonably generous from a F2P perspective, would that be accurate? Rotation. From what I've read it looks like expedition is the current standard and as sets get released they rotate out of the current expedition. Is that correct? How often do new sets drop and how long do they remain in expedition for? Could someone provide some good budget decks that I could strive for. In Arena I was mostly playing Gruul agro, looking at some decks online Rakano faction seems to be Eternal's equivalent. [link] [comments]

So, when are the Expedition pool changes going live? Posted: 10 Mar 2020 10:36 AM PDT I kind of expected them to be live by now... C'mon DWD, I wanna sharpen my horns! [link] [comments]
im back, with a little suggestion. Posted: 09 Mar 2020 03:34 PM PDT Could we make the ramp that grodov provides be depleted? i know you wanted to really push this set, with these power creeped strangers, the stonescar stranger drawing 3 cards its insane too, at 4 cost you get half a rally, that if not removed can sacrifice a token for 3 cards, that text is so insane, and the fact that trowing the second one its literally a rally worth of damage, and it can trade with most 4 cost cards but sst, i always felt the stonescar stranger was even stronger than makkar and the damage nerf to makkar did nothing to its rolling power. well i dont have much to say, play nahid destillation on time decks play grodov, and win your games, happy eternaling. Let's talk about a few seemingly good, but rarely used red cards Posted: 10 Mar 2020 05:13 AM PDT Hi All, Long time MTG player, first time Eternal player. Building a mono-red aggro deck for the time being to get into the game, something akin to RDW from MTG, where all you care about is their life being 0 and yours being 1 or above, in the interest of speed. I've reviewed a few proposed decks online, as well as browsed the database. There are a few cards that seem like they should be staples in this archetype, but I've yet to see any mono-red aggro decklists run them. I am genuinely interested as to why that is, or if I am missing something crucial here that makes these cards horrible. Here's my take: On the Hunt - If this card was a straight up 4/4 charge for two power, it would be an auto include in every deck that runs red. But because it tips your opponent off a turn early that it's coming, no one runs it. A one-cost card that puts a two-cost 4/4 charge on the top of your deck is effectively a 1-drop 4/4 creature without charge from a speed standpoint, which is still unreal IMO. Molten Phoenix - 4/4 flying, charge for two power that turns to stone at the end of the turn. At worst, this is more than likely a 4-damage face burn spell for two (thanks to flying), which is on par with Torch from a speed-to-power standpoint. I would probably run that even if it got destroyed at the end of the turn. The fact that you can pay 2 every turn to swing face for another 4 is icing on the cake. Again, no one runs it. Flamefang - 3/1 reckless for 1 power. The power-to-speed ratio here is excellent. Sure, you have to attack every turn, but if you're playing aggro, attacking every turn is the point. Most decks I've seen in this archetype cut this card for the likes of Grenadin Drone. I'm not saying two 1/1's for 1 is bad, but choosing that over Flamefang is a damage output cut. The only benefit I can see in running that instead is block fodder, but again, you're not concerned with blocking in this type of deck. Refracted Sentinel - Giving your opponent a free sigil speeds their deck up and is generally considered a bad thing to do. But a 6/4 for 3 that doesn't say "can't attack," "Take 10 damage" or "lose the game next turn" seems hard to say no to in this type of deck. I don't know, maybe it's my inexperience talking, and giving your opponent sigils in this game is a death sentence? [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Mar 2020 07:39 PM PDT Hey all! This is one of the decks I have made recently. It started out as an unseen tribal. It had potential to snowball with endless battle skills, but I found I wasn't able to push damage the way I wanted to. After some editing and some bigger bombs in the Purpose faction, I came up with this thing here. It takes a few matches to feel out how the deck plays, but it isn't super technical or difficult to pilot. I hope you enjoy it! If anyone has input, I'm all about hearing how to make Zadia even better. [link] [comments]
