The Eternal Card Art Tournament - Round #5 and #6 Posted: 13 Jul 2020 10:58 AM PDT It is once again that time of day again. Again, these two rounds are posted together, but this time, Google Forms is the format used due to some issues on the mobile client of StrawPoll. One day, I will decide on a poll formatting :p For this poll, the images and the poll are directly linked to each other, so there is only one link for both polls. Additionally, I have finally completed the full bracket of this tournament! A PDF file is linked withe the full bracket listed. I will post an updated version of the brackets after every 'layer' of the tournament. ————— ————— Additionally, congratulations to those who voted for Curtain Call in Round #2, Amilli, Cloudmarshal in Round #3, and Reyna, the Unwavering in Round #4. All three of these cards will be advancing in the tournament. [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Jul 2020 04:41 PM PDT Just wanted to shout out to DWD for the great set and give others who abandoned this mode a PSA that gauntlet is fun to play again. Why? Plunder, Cylixes and most importantly, new bosses were added to the high MMR pool. Adding Burn Scars and Sibling Rivalry to the possible high MMR gauntlet bosses is great. Having significant diversity from charge and double damage is a real breath of fresh air, and those decks present a reasonable amount of challenge with an enjoyable mechanic that allows counterplay. And I think the new cards have finally reached critical mass in deckbuilding where a properly built deck almost can't have a non-game. I've saved myself multiple times with multiple decks from the high variance, worst possible 2 power hand situations. I've been a gauntlet grinder since Set 2 and this is the most fun I've had in gauntlet for 3 or 4 sets now. [link] [comments]
Android 10 Gesture controls make mobile very frustrating. Posted: 13 Jul 2020 11:41 AM PDT I updated my phone yesterday and now am being sent to home basically every other time I play a card. It would be nice if I could keep the gesture controls related to the right side of the screen(the bottom in portrait). I was looking for this, but can't figure out how I would do this on my own. Anyone else experiencing this? [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Jul 2020 03:21 PM PDT This event was very fun to watch and the games were very swingy. Props to Gager902 for playing so well. All I gotta say is who's got that expedition spice ready? Help a guy out? Lol [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Jul 2020 03:51 PM PDT I've read the new u/Calebovitsch draft guide, but unfortunately found it too general to be of much help. I've gone 1-6 in draft with the new set, and 1-9 in sealed. Normally I go about .500 in draft, and a little better in sealed. Can anyone just give like 3 tips they use for this pool? I just feel totally lost. I don't understand why I'm doing so bad, so I don't really know how to improve. When I try to make an aggro deck, it runs out of gas. When I try to do control, I get run over. Should I just be drafting for biggest bodies? What rules of thumb are you using for draft right now? Are there any commons or uncommons you basically always pick if you can? [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jul 2020 10:11 AM PDT Inspiring LeadershipWhen you play a unit, you may set another one of your units to the same Strength/Health.Yes, I know it is a not very good card just for the effect, but lets ignore that for now. For people with limited collections, it might seem like a OK rare. Play small units at the start of the game, and if they survive, when you play a big unit later make the small unit bigger. Seems fun. However, 99% of the time, you will play a small unit that gives buff to another unit (for example [Trickshot Ruffian]), and you will target your big unit, and now your big unit is small. Heck, sometimes you will play a small unit and then click on the big unit to activate an ability, or attack, and the same thing will happen. Unless you have the self control of a saint, or you stare at the screen for a minute before making any click, you are probably making clicks out of habit and muscle memory, and you WILL incorrectly activate the ability. My suggestion will be: do not use it, remove from all decks. Maybe wait before dusting in case DWD changes this card. One solution can be that it only makes units bigger, then you have the small use case that you want to make a unit smaller to evade Vanquish. Or there could be UI improvements, but I wont hold my breath for that. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jul 2020 05:51 AM PDT Is it finally time Even-handed Golem receives a real nerf since the obvious voidbound On my way? shortly after it's release. Currently Even-handed Golem is more oppressive in Throne than it has been with the exception of its release. The card is responsible for multiple nerfs to other cards because they performed too well in decks using the Even engine. With each new set and bundle releases the card gets new tools and the "restriction" for playing the golem decreases and has to the point that the we have currently reached, if you aren't playing the golem then you don't stand much chance of winning, with the sole exception of the Justice Ruffian deck. The 2 deck meta is not healthy and something has to give. The flavor of the card is already out of the window with the stat nerfs, so is it time it finally becomes a "Summon: draw 1, Scry 1" or vice versa? Market decks can't compete and now the golem can have its own market too with the new merchant. I'd like to hear any other suggestions for the card and current meta. [link] [comments] |
