Mysterious Waystone ‘sees’ sacrifice effects played in response, before it actually enters play?

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 11:31 AM PDT

One of my only consistent complaints about this game is the often-arbitrary-seeming nature of response windows. In this case my opponent plays mysterious waystone, and in the response window before it actually attaches, i play Imprison and make him sac 2 units.

Waystone then enters and starts at 3 - it counted the sac effects from before it attached.

Is this expected behavior? Seems unintuitive to me.

Can we have weekly non-stakes tourneys just to get a pulse on the meta?

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 05:37 PM PDT

Okay, so, ever since the ECQ started occurring, it felt like the meta was always in a state of flux, essentially owing to the lack of a weekly tourney series.

So, I was wondering...DWD has the technology to host tourneys, so...why not just have a weekly tourney that people can enter into for like 5k gold for 5 packs minimum, and maybe at 14 wins of a 28, up that to like 8 packs or something, and cut to a t64 on day 2, while maybe give the casting privileges to members of the community? I know there were various ETS casters I loved listening to (does Child Roland still play the game?).

Just something so that there's more than one tourney per format per set of cards. That is, as things go, we have a new set -> throne ECQ -> expedition ECQ -> expansion -> throne -> exp -> new set. That is, we only get one throne/exp tourney before new cards are released, and if we get more tourneys with lower stakes, that can help people get a gauge on the meta, maybe generate some more interest in the game, and so on?

What say you, DWD? You have the technology!

EDIT: as translated by /u/JaxxisR , basically the equivalent of Friday Night Magic, which is what the ETS essentially was. If we can have throne and expedition tourneys that run every weekend, I feel like there might be more ways to generate some activity outside of ladder.

What is the premium sign next to some names in the ranking?

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 08:30 AM PDT

On the leaderbord for the monthly event, sometimes there is a 'premium' sign (the same one if you're building a deck and the game asks you if you want to use premium version of chosen cards) next to players name.

    What does that sign mean?

    Ruffian +1/+1 removes aegis

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 07:55 PM PDT

Not sure if intended or not. I put down a ruffian on turn 2 to be able to ramp justice influence with the +1/+3 weapon the next turn. I figured why not try it and when i tried buffing the opponent's aegis minotaur it removed the aegis. Is this something anyone else noticed?
