Posted: 22 Jun 2020 08:46 AM PDT I mean, I used to at least get 5/6 wins in Gauntlet, I used to win a few games in Expedition with my FTP resources, but now, I can't even. This set messed not only with the PvP aspect (is only normal, I'm fine with it), but made the single player portion unbearable. The AI decks are even stronger I accept taking a beating here and there, but not like this, and driven to the ground in almost all games. I am not a decent player, and have no illusion of ever being "good", but the game became from a good pastime to a growing amount of frustration. There was no need of such an abrupt spike in difficulty. Sure the AI decks needed some refinement to offer more of a challenge, but making them almost impossible? Oh well, my disk is full, anyways, guess I'll free up some space soon. [link] [comments] | ||

| Inconsistency for off-colour cards in the Event Posted: 22 Jun 2020 01:57 AM PDT I watched NRausch's stream earlier and a discrepancy with how the event checked for off colour cards literally cause him to abandon the game and raid us over to another streamer. I thought it was pretty stupid and unfair, and his actiosn justified, so I thought I'd bring it up. Basically, if you had any amount of cards in your maindeck that weren't of your selected hero's faction, you could not bring that deck into the event. Nick in this example had 3 playsets of Vows in his combrei deck (including the combrei vow) to play a void ramp deck with arcanum hourglass and forgotten find. He was not able to bring the deck into the event and had to brew a different deck. When playing said different deck, he faced Talir Combo in Xenan and it was allowed to put a Kairos in the market which it then Destiny'd into play as is the deck's goal. This is despite Kairos not being a Xenan card of course. I found this very dumb as I mentioned at the beginning. It seems totally arbitrary that the event should allow off colour cards in one's market but not in one's maindeck, especially when we consider that the Vows don't even have influence requirements and Kairos does. I'm not saying that the vow deck should have been allowed, but that the rules for off colour cards being in your deck list should be consistent, either allow them or don't, don't let one deck bypass your restrictions and another get booted for them.
