    Did DWD go wrong with the corrupted keyword?

    I really liked the game or at least did up until DWD introduced the corrupted keyword which I simply don't find enjoyable. I think it leads to degenerate decks and slow matches. Sure there have been other offenders but this one takes the price even after the nerfs recently.

    There have been other keywords I haven't been a huge fan of, but not one I actively disliked before now. I hoped it was something I simply needed to get accustomed too, but every time I face a sacrifice deck with corrupted units I often quit the game for the day.

    Am I overreacting? Is it this bad or is it just in my head?

    I wish there was some negative effect of having corrupted units, then it might be ok again.

    This was supposedly fixed in a patch a couple months ago but I've had it happen a couple times in the past three days. I submitted a bug report.

    edit: this seems to be intended when your hand is full

    6/2 Update

    We have made the following fixes and improvements:

    • Fixed an issue where the "Complete a Forge" onboarding quest could not be completed in some circumstances.

    • Updated Heirloom Blade's text to be in line with other cards with optional play-for-less effects (ex: Resounding Shockwave).

    • Renown abilities should now correctly reference Heirloom Blade's reduced cost if targeted by Heirloom Blade's sacrifice effect.

    • Fixed an issue where a unit stolen by Hostile Takeover would change ownership if the unit was transformed.

    • Monument Curator's Strength and Health should now properly update if the cost of a relic you control changes.

    • Draw Strength should now correctly count relics that were transformed into units.

    • Fixed an issue where Marionette Cross' Entomb would incorrectly sacrifice Marionettes that had been transformed.

    • Burglarizing a Marionette Cross will now correctly de-link it from the opponent's Marionette.
