Do any other cost increasing effects work on power like this?

EDIT: It seems to just be seats so has to be a bug.

Anyway to make "destroy extra cards" to destroy my extra premium cards first?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 12:54 PM PST

I don't care about premium cards, I want the game to destroy my extra premium cards first rather than normal cards. Anyway to do this other than manually combing through all of my cards?

Is Throne possible not playing Ultra-Aggro or green removal?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 06:23 AM PST

I really love this game, but what I love more is board-fights in a game like this.

Recently the Throne-Experience is, at least to me, really awful. I'm a midrange and/or combo player, but in Throne it seems impossible to build up anything anymore. 90% of decks hit me with Harsh Rule or Equivocate and that is that. With Equivocate there is also a death sentence to any decent tribal decks, be it Onis or Wisps or Explorers or whatnot.

I'm really at a loss here.

What are your experiences/strategies or decks that seem to survive this (to me) mess?

I have a decent collection and want to play the Throne format, but right now it seems really reactive and destructive, nothing proactive or creative to see. (Talking about Diamond/low Master)

Is anyone else experiencing stuttering on the windows client after the last update? It's happening randomly while playing the new campaign.

How the hell do you beat the last mission?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 01:28 PM PST

The last mission is miserable to play against. Is this DWD's idea of fun? I get to invoke a bunch of shit cards while they play Eremot for free and kill my guys when I attack?

JUST GIVE ME THE DAMN CARDS I PAID FOR

    Help with Kuro Wolfsblood Mission?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 11:43 AM PST

I've failed this mission 4 times in a row now. Is there anything I can do other than try to mulligan for my Xulta Convoy? A lot of my deck's creatures are woefully understated and get removed for free. And then I get out tempo'ed and die.

Is there any way for me to remove his OP relic or something? How did you pass this mission?

    Eternal becoming beginner unfriendly

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 09:02 AM PST

I've been around CCGs since Magic's The Dark expansion. Eternal has a well deserved reputation for being generous with packs and such. For much of Eternal's history I would say that it was friendly to new players. But that is becoming less and less true, for an under-discussed reason: there is no longer a reasonably good deck that is also reasonably cheap and also reasonably easy to learn to play.
If you want a CCG to do well you need new players. To keep new players, they need access to a reasonably good deck relatively early. It doesn't need to be the BEST deck. But it needs to be pretty good and it can't be a packed with legendaries. For much of Eternals history that meant some flavor of aggro. Skycrag aggro or Rakano aggro both offered relatively cheap ways to have non-awful decks. Could they be made better with legendaries? Absolutely. But they provided a base to build off of. in the last 6 months or so I would have added even Paladins to the list. It was a great for a while, but became low tier two. Playable, but not amazing. Fun for a newish player, good at teaching some techniques, provides enough wins to keep people happy.

I have two newish friends who enjoy(ed) the game. One went the Even Pallies route, the other went the Skycrag Aggro route. With the Skycrag nerfs, and the recent (and almost inexplicable) desecrate change, both of those decks have become almost useless. The recent spoiler shows that Eternal is committed to killing off aggro. All of this would be fine if there were a cheap, accessible, non awful deck available. So I would caution DWD that they need to be sure they aren't killing off their ability to get new players by killing off the ability to have non awful cheap decks.
