| Cards I underestimated #1 : Petition Posted: 25 Aug 2020 07:11 AM PDT I never really understood why so many played Petition against me. Pay 2 to search for a power card didn't sound that good to me when I could get any sigil for 1, or draw and plunder for 2 instead. If anyone else is in the same position, you may be scratching your head seeing it as one of the top cards in the latest top 64 decks. Now that I used it more and understand it better, I can answer why it is so good. It let's you search for any power card. While beseech the throne is sigil or treasure chest, Petition for a cylix can give you dual influence, power, AND a treasure chest. As if that is not enough,you can at times tutor for an aegis, drawing a unit, reducing costs of colorless cards, gain life, and many other effects. Next set, we have a spoiler for a power card with Fate. We can only expect this card to get more utility as more utility power cards are released. Any cards that took you some time to understand the purpose of? Or any cool techs with Petition or situations where you prefer other land retrieval options? Please share your story! Today, I was at 93/100 Diamond II, and went on a pretty bad losing streak (apparently everyone is ready for aggro now...) all the way down to 0/100. I lost the next game, and now I'm in D3! | Is imbue supposed to work this way? Posted: 25 Aug 2020 02:19 AM PDT Board situation: Enemy has a [[Maveloft Huntress]] that has imbued a [[Pyroknight]]. That means there's a stunned 2/1 and a 4/2 imbueing it. I play [[Display of Menace]] to deal 1 damage to each unit. What I expected: pyro and huntress both take one damage, meaning pyro dies and maveloft huntress is now a 3/1 for the turn. Huntress loses imbue buff, meaning it gets -2/-1 and thus dies due to reaching 0 health. What happened: Pyro dies and maveloft huntress simply changes back to a 2/1.
