A New Type of Tournament - The Eternal Card Art Competition! Posted: 10 Jul 2020 09:35 AM PDT With the most recent set being released, and its art available to see in its glory, I thought it might be a fun idea to have the card art compete with each other in a single elimination tournament, voted on by the community! It's nothing serious, but I think it could be neat and nice for the artists of Eternal, which never really get the recognition they deserve for the card art they've created for the game. Who knows, maybe if this tournament goes well I could make a reversed version of this project- the worst Eternal card art, seeing as some more prominent figures in Eternal have their fair share of opinions on the art in this game. ​ ___ ​ Now to start, we need some competitors for this tournament, and what better way to pick those, than to have the community choose? Attached to this post is a form I've set up just to collect some data on who will be competing in the tournament. Just list five cards that you think have the best art in the game, and be sure to write out the full names of the card you've chosen, especially if the card you picked has multiple copies or if the card has an alternative artwork. Any artwork is allowed to be a competitor, including token artwork. I have also left a completely optional spot for you to leave your Reddit username if you'd like, so I could clarify your choice if I have any issues. The Form ​ ___ ​ Secondly, here's how I'm planning on hosting this tournament. After a day or so of submissions for the tournament, I'll post a poll to this subreddit giving you a choice of two different artworks from Eternal. You choose the art you think is best, and that's that. The poll will be live for a day, and once that poll is complete, the next two artworks will go against each other, so on and so forth until we have one champion! I'm not sure exactly how large this will be, but it will mostly be dependent on how many submissions there are.
