    Misfit Rakano

    Posted: 12 Jan 2021 11:05 AM PST

Have you ever wanted to make an Archmagister's Portal deck in Rakano colors? Well now you can! Djang-li, the Misfit turns mediocre or overcosted units into flat out powerhouses. This deck is far from tuned, but each unit provides some sort of utility, or has a good way to capitalize on Djang-li, the Misfit's power boost. Some standouts include:

    Badlands Survivalist: Even more boosting!
Clodagh Ascending: It's pretty easy to get to 6 red in this deck.
Auric Sentry: Gives this beef some bite.
Brightmace Paladin: Turned on right away.
Scrapmetal Fury: Loads of market cards and Rustlings.
Momentum Builder: The bard kick-starts this juggernaut.
Siege Train: 6 with overwhelm is nice. 9 is excellent. 12 is insane.

Calebovitsch's Empire of Glass 10.0 Draft Card Ratings of Awesomeness

    Posted: 12 Jan 2021 01:31 PM PST

    Hello everyone,

I have finally managed to jot down all card ratings for the current draft format on a 10-point scale, with both general and synergistic ratings for all the cards ... unless they don't synergize with anything - those are stuck with just one number.

Anyway, long story short, here you go: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11gk3NQeTNjC_ctKXVpaDlmkTZvNuGvvRZy2wmF31t0k

    Cheers,

Useless cards analysis - Quick draft

Useless cards analysis - Quick draft

A superficial analysis of cards usage and diversity by rarity across two formats.

    Comparing:

    • Gauntlet and Throne decks submitted to EWC since the last patch
    • (91 and 1226 decks respectively since 2020-12-14).

    Conclusions

    • Only ~35% of the cardpool has seen play in Gauntlet.
    • Against ~85% in Throne.
    • The most diversified rarities in both are Rare and Legendary.
    • Rares are significantly more diversified than other rarities in Throne.
    • The same can't be said about Gauntlet.
    • Whether the cards or the analysis itself are referred to as "useless" is up to the reader.

    First or not

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 02:35 PM PST

I have assumed that who goes first was coin flip but over time I have been feeling that this is not the case. So I tracked the last 47 games and I went first 11 out of 47 games. So how is going first determined?
