| Just got the 5 7-0 draft achievement! Posted: 24 Mar 2020 05:45 AM PDT This one's been a long time coming - I've played almost daily since the game went open beta. Probably not a big deal but I'd mentally dismissed this one as unachievable as a result of my strict raredrafting policy, so I'm particularly happy I got there. Anyway, I'd like to dedicate this one to fliers for being insane since day 1, Steely Stranger for consistently backfiring on my opponents, and sigils for not punting yet another 6-0 run. | Restrained Rider to masters, finally Posted: 23 Mar 2020 04:43 PM PDT Evening all, Took me the longest time to get to Masters this month, maybe because it was extra tough, probably because I was determined to make 4f Armoury and then Restrained Action/Strange Rider work... But i made it now and here's the deck. I love restrained action but there is a great deal of relic hate out there and, because you aren't playing it on yourself, aegis can't protect it. | Rules text templating frustration re: Kaleb's Sanctum Posted: 23 Mar 2020 07:41 PM PDT Kaleb's Sanctum is a 4F Relic that reads: At the start of your turn, sacrifice all weapons on your units, then play a random weapon on each of those units. Does this effect only work on units that had weapons on them? If so, why? The wording is NOT clear. A clearer wording would be something to the effect of "play a random weapon on each of those units that had a weapon sacrificed this way." The problem lies in the clauses "on your units" and "on each of those units". A strict grammatical interpretation would interpret "those units" to mean "your units" based on the previous clause, i.e., play a random weapon on each of your units. Granted, in this game, if that was the intended effect, DWD could just write, "then play a random weapon on each of your units" and be clear, but it doesn't make the actual wording more clear if you can't read it and immediately tell what the card does without ever having seen it in action before. I hope DWD can be a little more precise in their wording in the future to avoid this confusion. Also, full disclosure, I just looked like a moron in a draft match because I thought this card was much better than it is. [link] [comments] |
